| not to mention that in my MOS 98G...some people, depending on their language could be specialists for upwards of five years...yep it happens... | | |

| [quote:867799ad26="satcom"]haircut standards in the army are total BS... Even if your hair is in regulation you have NCO's still get on you even if it is to standard. I think the standard just was updated, and says has to have a tapered look and hair cannot touch the ears... but then you have dumb NCO's that say... o well you should exceed the standard... people like that just make me feel good about not ever re-enlisting.[/quote:867799ad26]
what's wrong with holding yourself above the standard? | | |

| You can have as much hair as you want, cause once you get there it is all on the floor out the door, and pretty much once a week after that the same thing. I really dont remember anyone being able to have a mustache in BCT, and don't think you would be able to keep one. | | |

| I give myself the basic cut every month or so. My hair grows back so fast anyway, and most people say I look good with a shaved head. 8) The only thing is I like sideburns. Gotta trim those things to the midpoint of the ear. ops: | | |

| I was wondering about this, since I shave my head. Guess I'll have to let it grow out for BCT/AIT. thanks quote: Originally posted by SPC Van: and they will NOT allow you to shave your head yourself in BCT... we had a few try it with thier razors...not a pretty aftermath, but remember its only 2.5 months, so suck it up and "drive on" soldier!
