frank82 You can show your power in one of two ways: 1) By pushing people down 2) Helping people up I am sure that this young Army hopeful is pissed off and frustrated that he can't get his minimum score, and he is facing the possibility of failing again and having to wait another year to take it, in which case, he will possibly give up and never fulfill his dream of being a Soldier. That is not funny. Not when so many people are too lazy to persue their dreams and instead sit around and take what comes to them. This person is trying and working to obtain what he wants, lets give him the support her deserves. After all, he could be your Soldier or even your supervisor! How will you use your power?

Dont feel bad dude. When I took the ASVAB I was horrified at the first question. Things just kept getting worse as the test went on. Thinking I bombed it, I went home and said forget it. Here I am in Germany 3 years later. No one can keep you from your dreams. You only limit yourself. Get a tutor, study, and retake the ASVAB. Im sure you will do fine. With the process of elimination, you can narrow it down to at least 3 out of 4. I saw the test as a huge hurdle, (dropped out of HS at 10th grade) and I felt like a complete fool taking it. Do your best and study study study!

Ok first relax and then take a breath, as you go through the test when you hit a hard spot,, pop smoke, actually you will find if you practice basic math problems you will do fine. Have someone tudor you on do it on line, basic math and simple english. But dont panic.

There are huge differences between the paper and computer version of the test. The computer version is progressive, if you keep answering correctly the questions get harder, if you answer wrong the questions will actually get a little easier. My advice would be to answer the first five questions wrong even if you know the answer and have easier questions throughout the rest of the test. Keep in mind this is only for the computer version, the paper test obviously does not do this. Good luck.
i find the best way to take a test is to -not- study within the 24 hours before you take it. go ahead and cram up to that 24 hour mark but as soon as that mark hits, stop studying. get your sleep in. go into the test calm and relaxed.
I took the asvab on whim after talking to recruiter (like 30 mins after since I went in late that day) so I didnt have a chance to study. Went in calm and came out with a great score.

Something like math, literature, science, mechanical, physics. or something like that.
But anyway, a word of advice focus on your strengths and study up on them until your sure you can ace that portion of the test.
It's going to be a lot easier to remember things that you enjoy, such as working on cars, or literature, rather then math or science or physics.
A tutor always helps.
I scored a 78 on the asvab and completed it in 30 minutes, some marine was telling me he scored a 105, good to know its scored out of 99.
Good luck on your test man, and just keep plugging away, your bound to get it if you study hard and keep your head in the game.
I got a 96 on mine and was still dumb enough to join the Army. Whenever a Marine starts ragging on you just remember what Marine really means: M-uscles A-re R-ecommended I-ntelligence N-ot E-ssential
