[b:f91b5c7321] Aloha Everyone! I had a question about latrines in basic training. When I was at Schofield Barracks In Hawaii for ROTC competition. the bathrooms didn't have any stalls. So wen we had to do our business meaning number 2 we were right beside another person who is concentrating and making nosies. Kinda of wierd. "So my question is are there stalls for the Latrines in Basic."[/b:f91b5c7321]

When I went to Basic in Fort Leonard Wood there were stalls. But when we went to our AIT FTX (795th MP) the latrines were open like you mentioned in Schofield Barracks.

Depends on where you go really. Some places have the stalls, some don't. Some have the stalls, but with no doors. Makes no difference either way, just grin and bear it. Just reach over and tap your buddy on the shoulder and ask him to pass the TP.

What, noone going to Benning? Sill is pretty hardcore still, and I hear @ Jackson, that the guys and girls combo in BCT just doesn't work. (..only what I heard, I do not endorse this statement in any way.) :?

Dunno why I didn't think about this before... are the showers hall-style (one giant room of shower heads) or what?

I'll tell you right now that all facilities are different, and that things change. When I went to Jackson, there were a bunch of stupid people who caused us to go on lock-down and be investigated by MPs, and we were all supposed to go take a polygraph test, because the polygraph institute was across the street. Anyways, this is about the facilities. The bathroom stalls when i was there were good, except for people kept on clogging them up...makes for a not so happy DS. Showers were open at AIT, but at BCT it was open with small walls in between. I went to basic and AIT at Jackson. Let me tell you, Basic is only as easy as you and your fellow soldiers make it. You have an idiot in your group, straighten him or her out, cause what he or she does WILL effect you.

Wolve is right on point with this one, I went to Jackson for basic, and it was bay showers with walls between shower heads. When I went to AIT for tech school I was in a two man room with a private bathroom (god I loved Redstone Arsenal). When I went for phase 2 of AIT at Fort Sill the AIT soldiers (except 35M's) were in open bays with open showers.
