I remember going to Basic training in FLW back in Jan99. During the inprocess, we got up before 0500 and we formed up outside to move from the barracks to the reception bldg. There was snow on the ground and about 2-3 inches of ice under the snow. The march was ridiculous because there were a lot of us sliding and falling in the ground. During our training from Jan-early Mar was the coldest time of the year, a lot of us had freeze-burn on our ears and the tips of our noses. Yep, it is COLD in FLW.
