That picture of them getting off the cattle calm was nothing compared to then when we were pushed off the trucks. Good learning though. In the Leonardwood pictures I am assuming they are because I did BCT there. Is the Driill Sergeant...DS Romani by any chance?

It's no wonder we get the soldiers we get now. Half of them come with attitudes like you owe them an apology. It used to be you get a bunch of good ones and have that one or two bad apples. Now you just get that one or two good ones and the rest are the bad apples.

My dad was a drill at Knox and that's where I went to OSUT. I see new privates saying, my DS was cool. He bought me pizza or gave me a cigarette. If I see my drills, I avoid those guys till they become my PSG. It's not the same anymore is it?

Depends on the unit and the drill sergeant as far as how trainees are treated and of course we have to follow the regulations and standards. Tobacco use is prohibited in BCT.

At Frt Benning its called an Alligator. 180 privates, 360 locked duffel bags, one pile, NO NAMES!!!!!!!

The in processing guys forgot to have us stencil our ruffles. It was hilarious. The DS's could not figure out why none of us could find our bags. THey thought they had the most retarded cycle ever. We spent two hours out there. You would try the lock on a few bags. Fall back in (empty handed) then get smoked and repeat until every one had found their bags.

Now they get stress cards

I guess it all depends on the individual Drill Sergeant how hard he/she pushes their Platoon. I would never buy a SIT a pizza, nor will I let them smoke a cigarette. The only thing being smoked around me are Privates.

NCOs lead the way!!!
