The closer I get to my ship date the more scared I get. It's a huge change for me. I'm going from a computer nerd gamer to freakin' airborne infantry. I'm more afraid of getting there and realizing I can't do it, because I want to do it more than anything right now. Any suggestions or words of encouragement? 24 days left, may seem like a lot, but it felt just like yesterday when it was 60 days left. Going really fast.
You will have no problems..this pre-jitter is all due to, like you mentioned, a whole new dimension in your life..embrace it..you will get your mental/physical state tossed like a salad during training...but in the end you will be part of a team bound by an inner bond most will never know...
You said, "I want to do it more than anything..." Trust me, if you really do, you'll be fine. I was amazed in basic training how the body will honestly do anything the mind pushes it to. Now, don't get me wrong, just because your mind WANTS to do 120 push ups, doesn't mean you're going to. But when you're on the 9th kilometer of ruck march and your legs feel like jello, and you still have to keep going at the drill sergeant's pace...you can do it.
You just can't get a negative attitude about anything. Stay motivated, stay focused, and just always KNOW that you can do it. Because you can.
