On my ERB I see in section II that it says PSI Status: Secret. It also says FldDetPS Stat: None. The PSI investigation was initiated on February 24, 2003. It was completed on April 10, 2007. Does this mean that I have a secret security clearance? I'm a 13 bravo...last time I checked we didn't need a security clearance for this job. I haven't put in a request to be granted a security clearance. Can someone please explain what everything in section II means?

And on the sixth day, God created the Field Artillery...

If you PSI status says secret, then yes you have a clearance. The clearacne was completed and granted 2007 04 10. That lets you know that 10 years from that date it will be time to renew. If you did not do any paperwork for the clearance, go to your S-2 and ask them for the JPAS print out. Could be a typo on the ERB.

On a related note, Does anybody know how to update the security clearance information on the ERB? our BN S1 says they cant touch it. I work in the S2 shop and a soldier came in and asked how to get it updated (His clearance was recently upgraded). Any help would be appreciated.

It took my installation security officer (ISO) to update mine a few years ago, but since then, I haven't found anyone who would change it to reflect my actual clearance now.

For what it's worth, the clearance information on your ERB can be really jacked up. It said for 4 years that I had a clearance I didn't have...

Definitely do as ArmyReup said and get a JPAS printout from S2, that will tell you what you really have.

It can be changed by sending a copy of your ERB to your Installation Security Office. S-2s cannot change it, they are correct.
