I have the flattest feet known to man, so road marches are always hell for me. Basically the entire bottom of my foot becomes one giant blister, no lie. The only thing that I've found that works, is wearing as many pairs of socks as I can and still fit my foot in the boot, usually 6 or 7 pair of socks is the max. It's really uncomfortable for about the first 1 to 1 1/2 miles but after that, your feet are so far from the inside of the boot, you kinda forget your wearing boots. It feels like really heavy and tight sneakers, if I had to compare it to anything. Granted your feet will sweat like they never have, and it will be a hassle trying to pry your foot out of the boot, but no blisters, not even a hot spot. Works for me.

If you are having a problem with blisters it may be from several factors. I would suggest that you first go to a real shoe store and get your feet sized (the PX may have one of those foot measuing devices). You may find that you are wearing the wrong size boots .. example: a size 10E width when you really need a 10D width. This is especially true with soldiers who have flat feet like SGT T. Also lot of people have one foot that is quite a bit larger than the other in lenth or width or both. In that case you may need to find a store that makes custom inserts. If you live close to a large city this kind of store will be easy to find. We have one here locally called the "good feet store". It will cost a litle but your feet are worth it. I had a soldier once that had a foot issue and an army doctor accually had boots made for him. If you do have i foot size issue an Army doctor should be able to help you out.
If you are having blisters your body is telling you there is a problem with your foot wear .. you just need to find out what it is. But for most soldiers wearing dress socks under a good pair of cotton socks will prevent most blisters. RFH
