I have a bit of a situation that I need some help with. I will be PCSing in a couple months, mid-August. I just had my annual NCOER submitted which carried me through 31MAY08. So I understand that I'll need a change of rater report submitted for me PCSing correct? If so then what would be the "through" date on that? The date I sign out on leave? What's interesting about this whole thing is that I have BNCOC Phase I class from July 14 - July 31 so that will be nonrated time since it's covered by my 1059. Immediately after my BNCOC course I will begin clearing. So how would that play into the whole situation? What would the NCOER dates look like?

I am just trying to find out the specifics so I can make sure that my rater is doing the right thing. I don't want to be screwed over.

Thanks for any advice and information that you might have.

Satcom, you will not get another NCOER, as the minimum amount of days is 90, unless relieved for cause, and a few other circumstances. You would not have 90 days, but about 75, and then subtract more for school, and I am guessing you get my point. In short, the answer is no.

Thanks for that information First Sergeant. I remember reading about the 90 day minimum in AR 623-3 but didn't know how it would relate to my situation. My unit is still wanting my rater to submit a change of rater NCOER for me even though I'll have less than 90 days of rated time. I have a feeling that this will end up hurting me because the NCOER won't have much substance. Hopefully this doesn't actually go through. I'm sure that someone is aware of what the regulation states.
