Ok, basic training is debateably the best time you will have in the army, and actually the most stress free in certain aspects. For instance everything is just told to you I.E. (get in formation, do pushups, brush your teeth, wash your ass) if you just follow orders your golden. In the real army nobody cares if you graduated top of your class in osut or basic/ait, they see it as your a soldier get it done. For my soldiers I give them a task and tell them to make it happen. You best believe that stresses them out, but that develops skill in taking initiative. The stressors one will experience in war outweigh basic training by a longshot. Im not saying dont go for it again but if you struggled through basic training then afghanistan is gonna eat you for a mid days snack. I have seen some professional bad ass' question their entire being due to this place, and alot of those guys if you ask them will tell you that some of the best times they have were in basic training.
