Hello All.

Recently had an NCO slotted under me and I am a little confused on the whole NCO Counceling form.

1. Do you Put your expectations under the TASK/ACTIONS first. then Councel and after the quarter fill out Performance Summary with achievment? or do you fill out the whole form in one shot? Ive never been given a counceling as an NCO... Any advice would be helpful

I use the 2166-8-1 how you stated. I put the expectations in the first block and then use the second block like a working copy of the NCOER.

In addition to this, I also use a DA 4856 to further clarify what I am saying in the DA 2166-8-1.

Not sure if this is the correct way of doing it, but it's what works for me.
