AGR Recruiting

Anyone a AGR recruiter? How is it? Is it worth volunteering for? I hear you work 60-80 a week, is this true? I put an AGR packet in and was put on the considerations list, then I go another email with a job offer to be an AGR recruiter.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I am a spouse, this is my husband's log in but I wanted to share my perspective. He submitted his packet in 2010 purely for retirement. It's been the best of times and the worst of times for him. For me, it has been fantastic. He is home every night, he did not miss the birth of our son, or birhdays or Xmas or school plays or Saturday softball etc.

At times he wished for a deployment because you're going to need thick skin. The only time he has worked crazy hours was during the County fair (1st Brigade). Yes, there are events, late appts, Saturday work but nothing too much. Remember, he just spent 3 years recruiting in the NE and he does not have any regrets. Neither do I because our family has benefitted immensely. If you're single, you won't be alone. Half his office is single.
