what are your favorite cadences?

I like to call C-130 over and over and over and over again. I especially love it when someone jumps up to call cadence after me and the C-130 cadence is the only one they know / call. I like it even more when someone then jumps out and calls the "another C-130" cadence.

I am just kidden, I don't really have a personal favorite. I have heard some really good cadence callers that can take even the worst of cadences and make them really really good. I am sure that every unit has that one NCO that can call cadence like they were born to do it.
The wierder the better!

My favorite marching cadence is Old King Cole, because that was the official unofficial official 1st PLT cadence in BCT. We had this one DS from the 82nd that we all loved to bits and that was the only cadence he ever called. And he had no rhythm at all.
My favorites are normally parodies of regular cadence (you got to have a lot of time on your hands to come up with those). An S&M version of the classic "Yellow Ribbon" ("Around her neck, she wore a studded collar). One to the tune of "I hear the choppers coming" about a cross dressing Ranger.

Beyond that, I just go for the more obscure, humorous, or shocking.

Whip me, beat me, I need love....
Napalm sticks to kids.....
Bodies bodies bodies....
Hey hey Josephine....

Damn, I really need to write these down (and start recording....damn damn)

If you can write those down that'd be cool, I'd like to try those at least once. It's better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission Big Grin
Those 2 I never had any problems with.

When I started to call Whip me beat me during company runs, the platoon sergeants would look at me like I was crazy and sometimes try to send someone to replace me.

My area manager cut me off from singing Bodies Bodies Bodies while at a conference in Kansas City (we were in a public park)

That same cadence upset a fellow student at PLDC, who later confronted me about it. He said I was a coward because I wanted to kill only women, children and non-combatant instead of the enemy. Also that I was sick for even bringing it up. I first responded by asking if he a psychiatrist; then I told him to stay in his lane.
For a marching cadence my personal favorite is My girl is a pretty girl.

For running I have two all time favorites!! But if the caller does not have rhythm it WILL NOT work. My two favorites are Magalina Tagalina, and Rain Drops-MY VERSION

I would be more than happy to post them if you have never heard them before. They are the best!!

Airborne All The Way
This one is a good running cadence if you are a satellite controller (1C ASI), or in SATCOM and know what a 1C is...

(said the same as "C-130" cadence)
